Horizon Forbidden West

Horizon Forbidden West is the highly anticipated sequel to Guerrilla’s PS4 blockbuster Horizon Zero Dawn. It’s an open world action adventure game coming to PlayStation 4 and 5 in February 2022. As producer it’s my role to manage stakeholders and dependencies within the project and schedule and prioritise the work together with discipline leads, dealing with a large number of different teams in a highly complex and dynamic environment.



My areas of production were: Core Design (Traversal, Economy, Camera, Player Progression), Player Combat (Weapons, Tools, Traps, Special Moves), UI/UX (HUD, Menu, Bootflow) and Game Code (Features, Systems). For the feature sets that were my responsibility I needed to collaborate with all of our in-house disciplines (Art, Design, Code, Animation, VFX, SFX) as well as working with art outsourcing partners to ensure the features were done on time and met the incredibly high quality standards we’ve set ourselves.

Besides these areas I was involved in the efforts to make the game more user friendly and accessible by pushing user-focused design and accessibility settings. I was also producing the PlayStation 5 exclusive features such as the Adaptive Triggers on the PS5 DualSense controller.
