SuperCar City is the spiritual successor of hit-game Subway Surfers, the game that lay the foundations for the lane-racer genre on mobile and reached over 2,5 billion players. Together with its successful Danish creator Kiloo, Paladin Studios collaborated on this race game. You race against opponents across the globe in a world tour, going from city to city. Race your opponents to climb the ranks and win great prizes. The game has a free-to-play model including in-app purchases. After each race you get to spin a wheel containing rewards. The higher position you finish, the better the rewards are. You can use tickets to spin again to win more prizes. The tickets you can both win and purchase using real currency.
In my role as Product Owner I was leading the internal development team and collaborated with the team at Kiloo to develop the game, soft launch it, analyse playtest results to improve the game. This process was partly data and KPI-driven as well as relying on Kiloo’s expertise and previous experience with Subway Surfers successful live-operations strategy.
